CReED - Supporting Training and Counseling in Brazil

Part of CReED's international work has included the organization of congresses and the provision of counsel for the financing of waste management plants.

CReED

Training

Together with the Technical University of Braunschweig, CReED organized two congresses in Brazil, on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Education and Science. Subject is fermentation as a component of sustainable waste management for Brazilian municipalities. One congress was held in December 2013 in Judaiaí (SP), a second one taking place in the spring of 2014 in Rio de Janeiro.

At the conferences with Brazilian and German participants from sciences, enterprises and administration, functional knowledge from the core areas will be transported for the establishment of sustainable waste management systems, integrating fermentation as well. The conference also serve to build bilateral knowledge cooperations for successful implementation of projects. This also includes further development and adaption of German technologies to Brazilian conditions.

CReED's activities shall contribute the promotion of the international exchange of Know-how and technologies in the waste and resources management sector and thereby contribute to environmental relief and conservation of resources.

Counseling

In Brazil, CReED-members are assigned to counsel the most important bank for the funding of infrastructural projects, the Caixa Econômica Federal, on the financing of waste management plants.
It is important to consider three essential prerequisites, so that waste management concepts will not fail already during preliminary stages.

Apart from the technical infrastructure, the counselling process must therefore put emphasis also on the aspects of public relations and qualification and training of personnel.
