Stationary windrow aeration – low-maintenance and virtually wear-free

Stationary outdoor aeration has been remarkably improved over recent years, with controlled air pressures and air volumes to match individually any compost windrow size. Components have been optimized for maximum efficiency and reliability. An outdoor version that has now become available uses a stainless-steel shaft and Teflon bearing, thus reducing maintenance and wear to a minimum. It is additionally characterized by low-energy consumption, and resulting low environmental pollution.

Control technology installed and two PWM 13 mobile wrapping machines

The decomposition processes in the windrow are optimally regulated by a controlled ventilation system. The corresponding temperature and oxygen data are recorded inside the windrow by the system's high-quality measuring probes. The probes are made of stainless-steel (IP 65 housing), extremely robust and biochemically resistant.

High-quality cables establish the connection to the computer-controlled networking unit. There, modern software uses the data to decide and control how much oxygen needs to be added via the aeration system. The data obtained is also stored without the need to connect to a PC.

Pressure monitoring enables the aeration to be monitored remotely. The daily inspection rounds are no longer necessary thanks to process monitoring by iCompost in conjunction with a pressure sensor. This save working time and ensures process reliability.

6,768 meters of aeration channels were laid

In-floor Aeration Ducts –AEROFIX© ducts are stationary systems with especially resistant and quickly to lay HD-PE channel bases and high-quality iron covers developed for highest loads, caused e.g. by wheel loaders. The ducts embedded into the decomposition surface aerate the compost windrows. The air volume via nozzle openings can be adjusted variably.

AEROFIX© ducts drain the arising seepage water too. Cleaning of ducts needs rinsing only.
