Summer Special
– The Brass is Back
Dipl.-Ing.(TU) Werner P. Bauer
It's summer here in the northern hemisphere. Combined with the heat wave in southern Europe and record temperatures in China - the global effects of climate change can no longer be ignored. The fires in Canada and Greece no longer need to be reported. According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), July will probably be the hottest month so far in thousands of years.
I'm avoiding flying and going on vacation to Italy. The country with bars on every corner where it is customary to drink your coffee / espresso standing up. No one there would think of buying their coffee in a to go cup. For me, this is a perfect example of a "Circular Society". Only by optimizing the economy (Circular Economy) we will not be able to counter climate change. But I am confident. Last year, I even discovered a restaurant in New York with real cutlery. It was advertised with "The Brass is back." Unthinkable in Italy.
I wish you a wonderful vacation,
