While the preservation of the environment has become a topic of major concern, the pollution of water and air by industrial waste continues meanwhile to widen. Anaerobic digestion is among the best technologies for the effective treatment of this organic fraction. Our study focuses on anaerobic digestion of DS; it consists to determinate sludge composition, to evaluate the methane production, biodegradability, to control the process stability and to estimate the electrical potential power.

The quantity of FW generated in many sectors (households, hotels, supermarkets, restaurants…) increased with the economic development and demographic growth in Morocco. Mismanagement without any efficient treatment of this waste involves environmental risks in terms of greenhouse gas emission and organic pollution. The AD is one of the most viable treatments for organic FW since it combines the treatment of waste and production of biogas as renewable energy.

The WEEE Centre in Nairobi, Kenya and 15 Other Countries in Africa
The WEEE Centre, Nairobi Kenya offers recycling services for ICT waste to the general public, business, learning institutions, government and NGOs in East Africa working closely with social enterprise Close the Gap project. The increasing amount of E-waste has created a need to recycle them in an environment-friendly way and there are opportunities to reuse the ICT products to bridge technological gaps in low-income countries. Thus WEEE Centre works on the treatment of collected ICT waste by creating possibilities of reusing, dismantling and sourcing of downstream management in environmental compliance and has safely handled more than 10,000 tonnes of e-waste since inception.

In a Memorandum of Understanding, signed in Rabat on September 29th, 2021, the Bank and IRESEN resolve to strengthen their cooperation in the promotion of investments aimed at accelerating the country’s transition to green energy. The scope of the cooperation will cover a number of areas of common interest, including green hydrogen, renewable energy, smart electricity networks, energy efficiency, energy storage and e-mobility.
