Detailed description of working activity

Over forty years experience within engineering plant and process engineering environments. For over thirty years he has specialised in waste management and treatment technology based projects. He has completed numerous reviews of designs for various waste treatment technologies particularly thermal, and related energy recovery and utilisation systems such as CHP and district heating (DH). He has a thorough understanding of waste operational requirements and issues. He has been responsible as Project Manager and Project Director, on numerous projects, for the preparation of technical engineering plant and services specifications and contract documentation, co-ordination of process and M&E designs, on site supervision of process installation and commissioning including process performance testing on a wide range of waste handling, treatment and pollution control processes. He has project managed a number of £multi-million capital projects from
inception through to commissioning including the first incineration and waste management facility to be designed and constructed in the UK to satisfy the, then incoming, EC Directive on the incineration of hazardous wastes, Council Directive 94/67/EC.
