On 1 August 2025, the EU Commission launched a Public Consultation and Call for Evidence on the upcoming Circular Economy Act.

On 1 August 2025, the EU Commission launched a Public Consultation and Call for Evidence on
the upcoming Circular Economy Act. Due for adoption in Q3 2026, the Act aims to
create a Single Market for secondary raw materials, increase the supply of
high-quality recycled materials and boost demand in the EU. ESWET responded to both,
highlighting the multi-faceted role of the Waste-to-Energy sector in the
Circular Economy.
