The European Commission has announced the second cut-off date for the call for applications for strategic projects under the Critical Raw Materials Act, set for 15 January 2026 at 12:00 (CET). This follows the initial invitation issued on 25 September 2025, encouraging project promoters to submit proposals for recognition as strategic raw materials projects within the European Union. Applications received by the new cut-off date will be evaluated for potential designation as strategic projects, aimed at strengthening the EU’s resilience and sustainability in the supply of critical raw materials.
