MARTIN and LAB to Upgrade Waste-to-Energy Plant in Brno
MARTIN GmbH and LAB won a contract to help renovate the SAKO Waste-to-Energy plant in Brno, Czech Republic.
ESWET

The ESWET members will contribute to an EU-sponsored initiative to significantly improve the existing plant’s efficiency and sustainability. The initiative aims to equip the facility with a new K1 line, featuring an annual capacity of 160,000 tonnes and designed to release approximately 46 MW of heat.
LAB is tasked with delivering the highly efficient flue gas treatment of the new line, combining a dry VapoLAB® system and a condensation unit that includes heat pumps.
MARTIN GmbH will be responsible for providing the plant’s combustion system and boiler.
The additional line is scheduled for completion in 2028.
